I have 2 samsung tvs a 42inch and a 32inch both with built in freeview. The larger one is operated off a digital aerial fitted to an outside wall which is plumbed into a 2 way booster , 1 to the main tv the other tv is in the next room so I fitted approx 25 feet of aerial cable leading away from the booster. Both tvs have excellent picture quality with the use of all freeview channels however in the last week the furthest away tv has lost its freeview/digital stations but still has perfect analogue channel pickup (channels1 to 5). I just have to re tune the tv and the freeview channels return. Can anyone suggest why this is happening and what can be done to stop it. thanks.
It seems to me that your 2nd TV is losing Signal strength for whatever reason.
It might have been better if you had bought an all in one Amplifier/Splitter.Labgear is one good brand who makes these.
This would obviously be connected to the Aerial coax coming into house, powered from one of your sockets and split 2 ways to feed both your TV's.
If you have a branch of Maplins within reach I would enquire there for some assistance and advice.
also make sure that there is nothing nearby which is causing interference, we found my son's xbox caused freeview to be unwatchable and our BT homehub also interfered with the freeview on another tv which was sited close to it.
