Having been given by Microsoft a list of Browsers, I have opted for 'Firefox' as my default item.

However, whillst my original browser ( Internet Explorer 8 ) has a toolbar which allowed me to click 'page' and then take it from there; such does not appear to be the case with Firefox.

Consequently and temporariiy, I am now alterting my 'Default Settings' to save Internet pages..via IE. and then reverting to Firefox; which I do not doubt is a superior means of transportation to my old banger.( Please smile Chris if you are threaded to this question.)

The last option in the File menu is Save Page As... (Ctrl-S brings it up) - is that what you're after?

Thanks bibblebub....You are spot on.

It seems to be that everyday I need to learn something new to keep pace as an OAP with all the intricacies of computers and the software programmes involved.

Ron...

P.S. It could be my imagination, ..Firefox seems to have speeded-up my BT broadband connections which I am confident were running at 5plus.
There's always something new to learn because you can never keep up with the latest in computer developments no matter what your age. But it's generally quite fun especially if you are able to do it at your own pace.

I agree bibblebub.....Although at two months from being 78years of age....my pace is somewhat slow...neverless I agree with you; "It's generally quite fun".

For your info, I was never really interested in having a Computer. However, Viv who is 4years younger than me, was the instigator of us OAP,s trying to keep-up with modern-day technology and hence we are now into computers, ( Desktop and Laptop in the house.)

We have found that info from respondents in AB, such as yourself , has been of a real help to us.

Hope we meet up again.

Best wishes ....Ron.
Good luck with the "adventure" and good on you for giving it a go - far too many people far younger than you would simply say "I could never work one of them" and not even try.

My own involvement with computers started way back in 1970, and they have been in my life for most of the time since.

bibblebub.. I really do appreciate what you have said. Viv and I have only been into computers for about 7/8 years so we have over 30years to catch up with you.

However, Viv's sister, who is only a year younger than me, has had a computer for but a few weeks and is really doing well with it. Quite naturally, I'm putting her right on matters, without telling her that I have a 'hot-line' to folk such as yourself.

Thanks again for your kindness....Ron.
