I have a very load buzzing noise coming from the computer when gaming, so i tried to investigate by opening the case and i found the noise coming from the hard drive, normally the hardrive doesnt make a sound, but when gaming it makes a buzzing noise the noise appears to come after i have been gaming for about 1hr i think its to do with the cooling_! or not but what i want to know is if anybody else has had the problem and can anyone sugest some decent cooling from front to back of case. The buzzing noise is not constant it is sort of intermittent heeeelp
Are you sure it's the hard drive, hard drives don't have fans themselves so shouldn't make more noise when hot.
I'd say it's more likely you have a case fan located near the hard drive to cool it that is making the noise, in which case replacing the fan isn't hard and they are cheep.
Healthy hard drives do not buzz when hot. you are either mistaking the noise from a nearby fan, or you need to be replacing the hard drive because it's about to fail.
ok chuck just been in game the noise has only just started but the only nearest fan is the on for the cpu i came out of game and the noise stopped ????????????
