i assume that if your scooter cuts its power off because of undue strain its been put under the reset button will engage the battery power again
it wont "blow up"

Thanks deggers, it`s just that yesterday I was in Poole and bumped up against kerb and ground to a halt, then had to push the thing back to the car, luckily nearby.

This happens with my scooter too, it happens because the 'bump' from the kerb dislodges the battery for a sec so it cuts out give it 30 secs try again it will be fine. (or adjust the leaver at the back) then give it 30 secs, Its the shock to the battery and it needs that 30 secs to recover.
