GHD hair straighteners faulty

I've got set of genuine GHD straighteners, suddenly stopped working and I don't know why. It's not the fuse as I've tried changing that. Was working last Saturday, I switched them off and packed them away. Tried to use them again on Tuesday and nothing, they wouldn't even switch on, no lights, no heat. Any one any ideas, I'm using a spare set of straighteners but they nowhere near good enough or like my GHD's .. miss them so much ! Too old for warranty, they were a Xmas gift abt 4 yrs ago.

Otherwise anyone know where I can buy a new GHD and what one would you recommend?

Did you buy them brand new from a shop or from ebay?

I needed to repair some for a girl I knew, once. I couldn't get the spares. They has a service system sewn up. You should send them back to them for repair. Certainly be cheaper than a new GHD set.

They were a Xmas gift about 4 yrs ago, they would have been bought from a shop but don't know which one. Ex-boyfriend bought them at the time, he would have bought genuine (he didn't know how used computer for a start!) they got the proper hologram and everything.

The element/thermostat will have gone I expect.
Alternatively the cable may be snapped inside through movement.

I think was 14.99 at the time.
Did you look at that site? £19.95 returned repaired inclusive.
Can't get replacement GHD's for that price, can you?
