got a problem with my mouse - it does a double click even though im sure i only click it once. i've tried changing the double click speed on the computer settings, however doesnt make a difference.

is there anything i can do, or will i have to buy a new mouse.

p.s i have tried taking it apart and seeing if i can clean it anywhere, but it hasnt made a difference.

Cheers in Advance

the switch /button might be sticking internally. try and borrow another mouse and see what happens . if the fault persists get a new one - they can be found for under a fiver.

Have you checked other mouse settings - it's possible to set it so that a single click works as a double-click.

In any Windows Explorer window, go to the menu bar, select Tools/Folder Options. The last box on the first tab should have the bit about "Use single click" I can't think that this is the problem though.
