Looking to take out an insurance or assurance policy on my mother can anyone advice me on the best one?

I am looking to take out an insurance or assurance policy on my mother who is 76 that will pay out enough or more to cover her funeral etc.
I have looked at some but you have to have paid them for a year or two years before you are covered and even then they are not enough to cover the cost of a funeral.
I am really looking for one that will cover her straight away and would not cost too much a month.
I hope we don't have to use it for years and years but she is worried about the cost of a funeral when she dies.
Can anyone advice me?

Her, and your best option might be to just take out a prepaid funeral plan. Here's the Co-Op website to start you off. There are loads of others and local firms might also do them. If you go for a local firm rather than a national one, do check thavyour payment will be safe if the firm goes bust or is taken over....actually, check that with a national too.
