i fell over in the next car park yesterday, bruised and slightly grazed my knees through trousers and cut palms of my hands. i went over on a stone. they are currently building more shops next to next so more debris on the floor one would assume. do you think i should report this to next or am i too late anyway?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.No, you aren't too late. Find out who was responsible (car park? supermarket? builders?) and TAKE PHOTOS as evidence of the stone and the debris as well as your injuries -- as soon as they get the complaint, they will tidy up the site. Get the address of whoever is responsible and write to their Legal Department hinting that you would like compensation and ending with "If I do not receive a reply with 14 days I will be taking the matter further" and send a letter recorded delivery. If you don't hear then you can probably take them to a small claims court ... I am sure other ABers will instruct you on how to go about this . Good luck. Might be a good idea to post this under Law section.
the construction area is cordoned off with boarding. there were 2 rows of cars then the drive the 2 more rows of cars before getting to the shop door. i walked across the driveway bit to the last 2 rows of cars by door and my foot went over on a stone, cant obviously guarantee it is from the worksite. i am considering taking pics of my injuries but doubt i will find the stone. i had a thought that i should be on cctv, a woman helped pick me up and someone in their car stopped. didnt think to take names as was shook up. do you think i can phone them, ask them to record it in their accident book if one exists?
i meant phone Next. as it happens i went in to report the accident after phoning head office. i was taken upstairs into the boardroom by a security man. he took my details but said it wouldnt be passed on as it wasnt their car park though he did ask if it was a pothole as they had the car park repaired after the winter and he said it had gone back to being the same state as the 2 men who did it were rubbish. he gave me the owners numbers and said to see who the construction company was next door which i saw.a friend of mine the other day jokingly said i should go to that company who does no win no fee but apparently you get really hassled all the time and you have to go to court, is it worth it. if i was really badly injured then i would really be complaining. anyone ever done the no win, no fee thing? suppose witnesses would have helped too. security man said the big car park camera on stantion wasnt working, only one over shop entrance itself.
Yesterday and already you are looking to lay blame hmm !!!
I cut myself on a ragged tile in a swimming pool last July and contrated cellulitis.I am scarred for life and was very ill as the tissue damage had travelled up my leg and was verging on septicemia before rapid intervention and I mean witjhin 20 mins.
Luckily I have only been left with constant pain in the arch of my foot .
I think im blooming lucky.
Im sorry if you are only wanting to warn others and ive misread it -I hope so anyway.
