As long as your husband is travelling within the EU (and your gift isn't alcohol or tobacco) there will be no problems with import tariffs. (If he's travelling outside of the EU you might need to order from a site based within the country which he's travelling to, otherwise the hotel might refuse to pay the import duties when the package arrives).

However you might encounter difficulties when trying to pay for your order. Nearly all online stores will only deliver goods to the address to which the payment card is registered. That's a sensible security precaution and you're unlikely to find many (if any) websites which will deliver to a different address (particularly if that address is in another country).

Me and my colleagues regularly get things from US internet sites sent to our hotel in New York. It`s great because a lot of things in the states are cheaper but they don`t ship abroad. The only problem you may have is from a security point of view at the hotel so I would email them and ask if it`s OK for them to receive something for you. Make sure you put the address and your husband`s name on
