my daughter says that if you put a crisp packet in the oven, it will shrink and harden. She says all her friends at school have done it and so she wants to too.
Has anyone tried it and if so, what temperature and for how long?

thanks guys. I'm off to try it......
We used to hold it over the fire with a pair of tongs. Made an excellent badge.
Best to do it under a grill on a low setting. They tend to curl up and stick to themselves unless you watch and stop that from happening.
We used to put a safety pin through them before shrinking - the bag would shrink down onto it.
We had a "Monster Munch" gang at school and used to do this, best way was under a grill. if you didn`t wear the badge you had to buy 10 Benson & Hedges
In Australia we have plastic currency notes and it works for them too.
beso, you cook your money? Just send it to me LOL
another good one is to put yoghurt pots in the oven at a low temp, they start to collapse back into a disc (which is how they start off) with the graphics all compressed in a ring, if you then take it out and put a weight on it, you end up later with a yoghurt pot coaster. They make discs and print the graphics in a compressed ring then blow them into the finished shape!
I didnt think you could do the foil crisp packets. I know we used to do it to the packets when I was younger and make keyrings
Hey guys technology has moved on! You can now do this in the microwave, but I've never used this method and would be careful if I did!
