You can freeze and defrost bread, butter and prawns. So why can't you freeze a prawn sandwich?!

Egg. In the mayo. Its structure makes it hate freezing.
when you defrost frozen prawns, there is always some water in the bowl, even if they are home frozen with no added water. I think that this is caused by the freezing process rupturing cells and allowing the natural moisture content of the prawns to flow out. When prawns are frozen in a sarnie, this moisture content soaks straight into the bread et voila, prawn flavoured sog!!

I would have thought that you would get condensation forming on the prawns which then gets absorbed by the bread.
