Problem with Hotpoint washing machine.

Our washing machine has for some reason stopped working properly. If it is turned on, it takes in the water but then just sits there and doesn't spin the clothes. Sometimes it flashes the prewash light sometimes which is supposed to mean it is not taking in water but it definitely is.

I'm wondering is it something to do with the programming as if you put it on to just spin it does this. Does anyone know what the problem might be and can it be sorted without a call out? Thanks.

Have a look at this site it has helped me in the past. Hope you get it sorted out as I know what a pain it can be when your washer decides to pack up.

It was a faulty solenoid and board.
