I have a Toshiba flat screen TV and recently a dark shadow has appeared on the left hand side, it doesn't really bother me that much but it seems to be getting worse as the weeks go on. is there a simple solution or shall i go back to the shop where i bought it 3 years ago. thanks for any help.

Have you got any speakers near the TV? Their magnetic field will affect TV screens

it is visible when the tv is on, it looks like the screen is dirty, that sort of shadow, also if i change channels i can see a slight shadow of the previous channel. hope this makes sense. could it be a loose lead or something like that.
If I were you I would go back to the Shop where you purchased TV from and take the matter up with them. Toshiba is usually pretty good but you may have been sold a shop display TV !!When you got it was it Boxed New ?
A shadow on the screen is not a good sign and your TV could be failing.
I also have a Tosh LCD thats approx 3/4 yrs old which has the same shadow by the sound of it. mine is a 42wlt58 (I think!).

maybe its a tosh problem. mine is only slight tho and bearly noticable altho once you know its there it does keep catching your eye.
If you smoke the smoke gets inside quickly.
