where do they earn from

I really don't get from where big sites like facebook, twitter and even answerbank etc earn from?
Since they don't charge us anything

@cheekypops i guess you mean they earn it from the advertisement they put on their sites , i did think of that but advertisements on facebook or answerbank in the begining.
They have been around probably six months but what about before that?

There are lots of adverts on the answerbank but I must confess I never look at any of them...... do you ?

I use Mozilla Firefox and they have an ad blocker - brilliant.

I have just been searching google for ram memory, now all the adverts on the left are for stores selling ram memory!!! its like there watching me.......Now if they can just invent a thing that can pause and rewind live tv my life would be complete!!!!!!!!
