bought the galaxy s last week and thought i can get on the net anytime but can only get on wifi in certain places, sorry not good with these things am i meant to get online anywhere?

Not familiar with the device, but to get "online anywhere", as opposed to just WiFi hotspots, you need a 3g connection as well as WiFi - i.e. it's like a mobile phone, you need to (pay for and) put a SIM card in it.

Just bought a 3G/4G net card and insert into the Galaxy S, then you can surfer anywhere ...
