I have a small Alba 19in hd lcd tv in the bedroom connected to a ps3 by a hdmi cable. Normally everything works fine, but when i watch a dvd through this setup, the word 'stereo' keeps appearing in the top right corner of the screen every minute or so (although sometimes it can be every few seconds). As you can imagine, this can be a bit annoying and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how I can stop 'stereo' from popping up on the screen?

I won't mention that using a PS3 with a 19inch Alba TV is a bit of a crime... I have done this myself when travelling.

I had the same problem with an Alba LCD screen but with my 360. The word Stereo should go away permanently if you press the "Display" button on the TV's remote. It may take several presses as you cycle through the variety of displayed information options. I know this solved the problem for me.

Tell me about it Mobios1 - problem is the shape of the room makes anything bigger than a 19in a bit impossible (and i wasnt forking out for a better make for a tv in the bedroom). The remote doesnt seem to have a 'Display' button. Chhers for the answer, but any other ideas?
There should be a display button on the remote. If not, it may be a symbol. This symbol is commonly a rectangle with curved edges with an "i" in the corner of it, denoting information. Otherwise, there should be a menu button you can press, and one of the options should be display or information, and you should be able to toggle the on screen display or "OSD" from there.
