Sorry, don't really want to know if everybody is but don't now how to ask my question. I was sent a friend request on FB by someone I don't know so checked with another one of her friends who is on here is she is on here. Was told yes so I have added her but would really like to know who she is.
If you have had a friend request accepted by me tonight and your initials are JC could you PM me on FB to let me know who you are. I don't usually add people I don't know so please JC make yourself known.
I don't accept anyone I don't know, even if they have been referred by someone who knows me. Could be anybody.
"JC, make yourself known" sounds like the Second Coming.....!
Am I on Facebook? You must be joking! It takes approximately 30 seconds to hack any Facebook account - the password is not required - whereupon the hacker has total control of the account, not least of which the ability to upload any pictures of whatever content...
Anyone with a Facebook account needs their head examined...
Have you just tried asking them who they are? I recently got in touch with a cousin in the US whom I barely know. I asked him if he was so-and-so's son, and he posted back to say yes and who was I. I explained and now we're in regular contact.
its really odd when people try to add you on Facebook...just because you may have a mutual friend...and they cant be bothered to type in the message box...Hi, this is X..Im also a friend of Y...do you mind adding me as well
Not me Jan -I dont ask for adds but if I get a request from someone I trust I add.I sometimes renage and delete but not out of badness usually cos I maybe see them more on here.
I am extremely particular as to who I have on my FB -only very trusted peeps.NOT I have to say that is a reflection on you but all I meant was if you dont know them dont add them.If they havent sent a message dont add them.if you reply your FB is open for 30 days to them so be careful x
Good for you, Jan, but if your Facebook account were to be hacked and a load of kiddie porn uploaded onto it, it would be your door that the police broke down at 6am, not the hacker's...
Yikes mine has been hacked by a dating site -they have taken my profile pic off me and my husband and cut him off and wh0red me off as a 39yr old from Preston looking for.....................! I dont use the email addy -its a throaway but guys have been hitting big style and although it doesnt bother me -very graphically
I hadnt finished that and I didnt submit -very annoying. So excuse typos as im not going back.Could cause a heap of trouble as it was my husband who saw the emails first -luckily I convinced him it was nonsense but it could cause problems.
I must try again to change password.
Wonder why they could take my profile pic and virtually take my husband off it and then make a fake profile up for me and then hawk me?
I really just use my FB for keeping up with far flung family and friends-we swap photos etc. Wonder where I left myself wide open so to speak as I also have fake applications appearing yet my profile is so tight you wouldnt believe it !
> yet my profile is so tight you wouldnt believe it.
I really don't know how else to explain it. Your profile is so open to hacking that you wouldn't believe it. Your profile (and that of your husband) has already been compromised - yet still you persist with having an account on this garbage site...
You say you want to keep in contact with people - have you ever considered just emailing them...?
Hi Mark, Im pretty clued up when it comes to computers, but mostly Mac's. What are you basing your answer on? as my Teenage children use Facebook all the time and i want to keep them safe. How can someone hack their accounts?, they are constantly changing their passwords so I don't know how someone else could access them.
Well Mark therein lies another problem as I get spammed often and my lawyer in Spain has even been asked by us if he needs viagra ....along with my blooming Mother :(
I have paid to have both my lappy and PC cleansed but the buggers still pop up.
Guess I just have to live with it.
