Was The Big Bang Theory partly not shown on C4?

The last series of Big Bang Theory ended just after half way through on C4 a few months ago and tonight the new (3rd?) series began but despite looking every week haven't seen the intervening episodes, so am now 4 months behind (as Sheldon just met his girlfriend in the last one and has now known her for 4 months).

Did C4 simply not show part of it or was it moved to such an obscure spot only a bloodhound could have located it, and is there anywhere I can see the programmes I missed?

its a bit confusing but the series ended a few months ago and to fill the gap until the new one they started showing the same series again, at least i think that's what it was, confused me as well!

the 3rd season ended with Sheldon meeting Amy....she is not his girlfriend!!

The 4th has just started on E4 and Channel 4 - we're 2 episodes in (we're behind the USA by a bit - episode 9 is due to air there tomorrow)

We find out theres been a gap of 4 months since we last saw the guys


Im not sure what the channels were doing for the show before this season as I got impatient, and watched them online when they were shown in the USA

It's definitely a new series, Sheldon just met Amy before they stopped the last but there were still at least a quarter of the episodes left. I know companies miss episodes (and show series out of sequence as well) from the past, but besides being out of order forever now I have no idea how or when I'll ever see the remainder- I don't even know which episode and series to look for.

according to this the last episode of season 3 is where he meets amy. are you confused as e4 started re showing series 3 ?

As the others have said he meets Amy (Not his girlfriend) last episode season 3.

Trouble is that they show it in sequence but if you watch it in different time slots they have different episodes. The curse of satellite TV.
