Internet problems when using Torrents and new Virgin Media Superhub.
I use either Bit Torrent or Utorrent for downloading files, but when I am downloading I am unable to access other internet sites and just get the 'page not found' message. I have a 20MB cable broadband connection and am currently trialing the new wirelss superhub for Virgin Media, and this problem has only been happening since using the new hub.
At first I just thought I was using all of my Bandwidth by downloading as I was getting a download speed of 2.2MB per second, but what really confuses me is that I also have a second Laptop connected wirelessly to the same hub, and I can acess the internet on this Laptop whilst my main Laptop is downloading, so I assume it has nothing to do with bandwidth.
I have tried adjusting the prefences in the Torrent Clients and have even tried it with the max dowloand speed set at 50KBS, but it makes no difference. It just seems that if I am downloading at any speed, I cannot access the internet at the same time on my main Laptop.Maybe there is some sort of setting in the hub I need to adjust, as my previous router and modem worked fine, but I am reluctant to contact Virgin as I spent hours on the phone to them trying to set up the new hub a couple of weeks ago, and they were not much help.
Any advice would be most appreciated.
