Probably a scam
Last night the wife received a cold call from what appeared to be an Indian call centre. They said we had corrupted files and folders on our computer, when she asked how they knew they said they had received a warning. I told her to forget it as it was probably a scam to buy non existent anti-virus software or malicious software in the form of spy-ware. Has anyone else received one of these phone calls.

They get you to go to a web site, and install some software that gives them remote access to your computer.
They then try to sign you up for "support", and require you to give them your credit card details.
SCAM. Steer clear of them, have nothing to with them.
Hopefully one day someone will shut these criminals down.
