Space-Saving Bags
4 Answers
There are some bags on the market that you pack with items you want to store, then you suck the air out of the bag with your vacuum cleaner, making the bag much less bulky and easier to store. This is a great idea for things like duvets and pillows, but I have tried the bags from Betterware and also from Makro, and neither worked, air seeped back in and re-inflated the bag, or the bag split. Has anyone tried any that actually work?

I use then a great deal, never have any problems with them and find them really useful, especially if travelling with soft sided bags or cases - it protects my clothes etc from getting wet if it happens to be raining when the bags are loaded onto the plane
I got some from QVC, then some more, and have now bought some for my friend cos she thought they were so good. No vacuum cleaner required. They're great for hols too cos you can re-pack everything at the other end and it's amazing how much more you can fit in your suitcase! Go to www.qvcuk.com, Home & Garden section, click on Housewares, then Storage. They're called Pack-Mate and the choioce of pack size depends on what's in stock. Today they have an 11 piece set for 24.25 + 3.95p&p. Mine was a 7 piece set for 18.64 + 3.45p&p. I wouldn't go away without mine now and I keep stuff in them at home too. Also, QVC give a 30 day No Quibble Money Back guarantee so if you don't like them, send them back. (And no, I don't work for them, I'm just very impressed!!).
