How to screw up Chrome
Maybe someone who cares could report this bug to Chromium.
Open the Options window and drag it to the Task bar.
Now try to get it back. It persists after closing Chrome so don't do it if you like Chrome in its original state.
I found this while trying to replicate a problem reported to our help desk where the user could not bring up the Options. I figured they could have dragged it beyond the edges of the monitor but found dragging it to the task bar was much more interesting.
BTW, You can get to the Options again using Maximize in the context menu on the task bar entry. But I can't find any way to restore its original window size.
