IVE TAKEN DOWN two lights in living room didnt mark cables put browns together blues the same green on its own. Lights working but wont switch off.Where does the blue with red sleeve go does it form a LOOP with one of the browns and which one

I would think (this isn't necessarily right, as I'm not actually there looking at your wiring, ok?) that if you have a twin & earth and one conductor is red and the other has a red sleeve on it, that would be part of a switch loop.

Not sure if it's regulation now, but sleeving the negative was usually in lieu of the correct cable (which would have two reds and an earth)
