gas powered television?

my Q. has nothing to do with a gas powered tv, i just wanted to attract attention!

Anyhow, thing is i have what i think is a very good idea for a computer programme. i don't think it has been done before, but i would not be suprised. nevertheless i think that i should attempt to patent it asap. i could not do the programming, but i have the design and the "gameplay" sorted out. does anyone out there know how i should aproach this? if i explained my idea, i imagine people would like it so i feel it is worth pursuing it. i need to know my first step, i could go to a solicitor and pay but why not ask the "ABer's" i thunked? so whaddya fink peeps?

It is not possible at the moment to patetnt a computer program in Europe, although this may change in the future.
