I have a Clarion CZ109E Car radio & CD, have just re-tuned it after having my car battery replaced. On the display of radio channel names or CD timer, after a few minutes the radio name will disappear and lots of wavy and flashing lines appear. How can I get rid of these and make it just show the radio channel name? It didn't used to do this before the new battery was fitted and I find it very distracting when driving

I'd hazard a guess by press the button labelled disp (for display)

Thanks for that, ChuckFickens. I did try the display button and it showed PT NAME (I think), then it just went back to its wavy lines etc. Will have another look see what I can work out.
the manual is here

And all that says is press the DISP button to switch displays

Thanks so much again, the manual will come in very handy indeed, tried to find mine in the first place to try to fix the problem but somehow have misplaced it!
sam182. Your problem appears related to screen feature settings. Look in the manual and you will find your radio/cd is probably set to demo mode. There are a number of options. When shops display working radios on the shelf they often have the wavy lines which move in rhythm with the music being played.
