TV and DVD/hard drive channels different ........
4 Answers
I have a new Panasonic tv - HD full and new freesat dish which are connected to my existing Panasonic DMR EX77 DVD/hard drive. The channels viewable on the tv are different to those listed on the hard drive box - eg can see BBC4 on the tv but it is not available on the hard drive so can't record it.
They are linked as follows - Sat aerial goes into the TV, ordinary aerial goes into the hard-drive, there is a scart cable from AV1 on the TV into AV1 TV on the hard drive. I thought as they were connected by the scart cable they would be showing the same channels. (I am not at all technology minded so would appreciate simple answers). Thanks for any replies

The TV is receiving a freeSAT signal from a satellite dish, the PVR is receiving a freeVIEW from a normal TV aerial. if your TV aerial is not up to scratch, or if you live in an area that has not been converted over to full digital TV yet (or a combination of both) then it's not a great surprise that the freeview receiver can't pick up all the channels.
You either need a better TV aerial, or to simply wait until your area is converted to digital, or both!
