Our V+ box is beginning to have a few 'blips' - needs to be reset 2/3 times a day. My question is...if we need a new one do we have to pay for it (how much would it cost) or is it replaced under contract. Thank you...

I used to be with virgin and had a V+Box. It depends on how long you have had it under your contract.
If they say you will have to pay for a new one I would tell them you will go with Sky and see what they say.
Unlike Sky, where equipment becomes your property after 12 months, all cable boxes remain the property of VM no matter the length of your subscription, so contact VM and if there is a problem with your V+ box that cannot be fixed they will swap it out.
I get loads of blips when using the V+ On Demand catch up service. So annoying when the programme I want to watch doesn't load up.
We found that Virgin gave excellent service, they changed and/or upgraded our box whenever we had problems. We've been surprised to learn that with Sky we become the owners and will have to pay for replacements. Please Virgin, cable Norfolk now!!!
As ABerrant and cc1 rightly mention, contact Virgin and tell them of the problem you've got....they will try to fix trhe fault remotely and if not book they will book an engineer to come out to either fix it or change/update the box.

I had mine upgraded free of charge last week and now it does everything but make the toast.

I have no worries with Virgin Media and would recommend them without hesitation.
LOL....two many 'books'....sorry, typing in a hurry.
