I am thinking of a holiday in October next year ( 2013) to the USA ( deep south maybe) the problem is I will be 88 years old & finding it difficult to find travel insurance on line, it would appear that most insurance companies have an age limit of 85, have any A/Bers had experience in this field ? I would appreciate any feed back on this TIA.

Have you tried Saga, hope you know it will cost you an arm and a leg to get insured - they consider over 85 high risk ron.

Had a look at Saga amongst others & believe it will cost both arms & legs so will keep looking but thanks Brenden for your input.

Thanks tabatha, hadn't thought of M & S.
Hi Ron, a couple of years ago Buenchico posted a link to a company that specialises in this very sort of thing on here. An 80 year old friend of mine going on a three week trip to Ohio used it to reduce the £2200 he'd been quoted by Saga to around £800.

I can't find Chris's link (there are so many to look through) nor can I remember their name, unfortunately. I'm seeing my pal later so I'll post back here when I know it, or perhaps Chris will get here first.
Have a look at Staysure Insurance. I had a similar problem when my usual insurance company just upped and cancelled my policy (held for 10 years!) when I turned 70 and they offered what seemed a reasonable alternative.
chrises link in called able2travel i think
Also Ron, I think you have to have a pretty hefty insurance policy if you are visiting the USA.
Hi Bednobs, if that's right, and I think you are, then they seem to have ceased trading under that name. The website's still there, but they've not renewed the domain name. Still waiting for my pal to come home to check with him.
Hi Ron, the one my friend used was Staysure.
