Free Solar Panels

We have been contacted about free solar panels (live in N.Ireland) and told we are suitable, has anyone any experience about Solar Panels just would like some feedback or info. Thanks

Be careful on ANYONE who phones you up out the blue with ANY sort offer.

It may not be as good an offer as they make out.

We bought ours 2 years ago and our electricity bill is down and we get a cheque every three months for the electricity we generate back into the grid. Free panels aren't the same. You only get free electricity during certain hours (usually when you're out at work).

Our Council had Solar Panels put on our house (with our permission) but it is pure guesswork how much benefit we get ! There does not seem to be a way to tell when we are getting the 'free' electricity and when we are on meter. As we had such a hot summer I am hoping the next bill will be well down (some hope ! )
