Hi

I am going to Majorca for 5 days and will rent a car at the airport. I always feel "conned" into paying extra (sometimes a lot extra!) for extra insurance to cover loss of XS.

Then I found out about icarhireinsurance.com who say they will cover all that for £14.95 for the 5 days.

Has anyone who has used them got any good/bad comments? £14.95 is a lot cheaper than any car hire company I've used, and covers the XS up to £6,000. I didn't read all the blurb yet, but I guess I will still have to pay the normal insurance and CDW when I pick up the car?

Grateful for any comments,

Thanks

There are nearly 1000 reviews on TrustPilot, which generally seem to be very good: http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/www.icarhireinsurance.com

Also check this one out. I have used them several times.

I've used Insurance4carhire and recommended it to friends who have had to claim from them and they've been very prompt, should you prang the car you still have to pay the excess and then claim it back.

The Insurance4carhire excess limit is only £2,000 - not enough for a total write-off whereas the icarhireinsurance.com limit is £6,000 so I think I'll go with them.

Thanks for all your help!
Blimey what are you renting :-) £2000 covered the excess on a Renault Espace two years ago.
