how do I complain to ebay about a item I bought which arrived damaged the seller say's he's been in touch with the courier and they don't insure glass but the seller didn't write on the packet it was glass or it was glass till it arrived smashed

Have you raised the dispute with eBay yet? You should get your money back in full. I had this happen to me, but I was the seller - I refunded the buyer straight away.
