How Can I Make Claim Quickly And Be Paid Out ?

i have 1 years travel insurance through ( coverforyou ) they are cheap ! no customer service just a voice mail and instruction on how to claim.

ok. last month i booked hols for me and gf to go from uk to thailand then onto vietnam , booked cruise etc in vietnam and have all reciepts etc.

today was meant to travel ( booked 3 weeks off work ) coach from belfast to dublin broke down , could not have made it to checkin , would have been impossible !!

what will happen now, i have a good idea, the insurance company will try wiggle their way out of things per usual. im down about £1500 out of pocket, plus ive no work for next 3 weeks as i booked it off, so im down 3 week wages.

discusted, so what now what would you do, etihad airlines say i can fly tomorrow but need pay 700 euro ( even though im a guest member 10 years )

I think the debate lies around the 2 hours beforehand being a reasonable check in time, agree, but your timetable doesn't allow for any delays on the road. Another 2 hours for travel hold ups is the minimum expected.

Having missed the flight, the next thing to do us to take the alternative flight today and catch up with your holiday, cutting your loses at every stage.

Look at claiming those loses afterwards rather than now. Go!

I think that most insurers will pay out if you have missed a flight because of a problem with public transport as long as you left reasonable time for ‘normal’ delays, though they may have a maximum. You only left 45 mins really and that might not be considered reasonable time as it is quite a long journey. It might not help your case that online estimates are around 2 hours not 1 hour 45, which would only leave 30 mins spare. Good luck.

i left eary enough in resonable time, bus time was as i say 1.40 mnin getting me to airport at approx 7.10 am for a 9.30 flight so i think reasable within the sid 2 hrs time.

actually 2.20 mins early for flight so how can a company argue this, as i say thy will wiggle out of it somehow.

Because they'd expect you to make it to the airport about 2 hours early and they'd also expect you to factor in that sometimes vehicles breakdown.
