Accident
As some of you know I had an accident a year and a half ago and was told by my solicitor that it would be MIB that would deal with the claim as the driver was from the south of Ireland.
She had told me that I would be going to an independent doctor but as I haven't been contacted re that - I phoned her. Now I was nervous so don't know if I heard her correctly.
I asked how the claim was coming on and would I be getting an appointment with the doctor - she (I think) said that she was waiting on word from MIB and I took it that if MIB pay out the claim I don't have to go the doctor.
Would I be correct. Won't be ringing her again.

If you do have to go to a Doctor, The MIB will specify which Doctor you go to , it will be one who specialises in motor insurance claims.
But the Doctor will ONLY look at the medical problems you have which are due to the accident. He/she WILL be impartial and ONLY assess the facts of your accident/medical case.
