Claiming Insurance On An Item Not Purchased On My Name
Hello,
I recently spilled liquid on my laptop and I am hoping to get the repair costs claimed from insurance. However, the laptop was bought in my father's company's name. I was wondering if I should send in additional proof of some kind (eg. photos of me with the laptop showing the serial number) to prove that I am the user? (The insurance company itself has not asked me for such proof yet but I am afraid they might reject the claim when they see that the purchase was not in my name).
Will appreciate any help!
Thank you.

for what you pay in premiums, I have never found it worth it except for insuring against very large claims - ( house burns down with people inside etc)
