" Simply because someone deals drugs does not mean they are a low life and deserve to get shot." If they are not "a low life", what exactly are they?

'Approving the terms of the settlement at the latest High Court hearing, Mr Justice Stewart said the case had concerned the "legality" of the shooting.
He said had it gone to trial, the court would have examined whether Mr Duggan did have a gun and if V53 had a "reasonable belief that Mr Duggan was holding a gun when he was shot".'
Perhaps the police had doubts about the strength of their case?

Well.. I'm sure you're not alone with those thoughts however, i'm sure there are many who disagree as well.

The kid got a taxi, got out the taxi and got shot twice by MET police officers.
The family deserve the pay out.

//Jurors concluded Mr Duggan had dropped the gun when the minicab came to a stop, but decided that V53 had "honestly believed" he still had the weapon and acted lawfully in self-defence.//
Of course if one hadn't got involved in unlawful possession of a firearm , no doubt, to be used in connection with his unlawful drug dealing enterprise he would never have been lawfully killed and end up on the slab.
As the trite old saying goes, 'lessons have been learnt' we hope.
