Asbestos Roof On Garage

A cricket ball has caused damage to centre of roof at the equivalent of a ridge tile. I have purchased a repair kit but would be obliged if anyone has any advice on how I can get to the centre of roof - it is a double garage and I have made a crawler ladder but do I put this in the trough or the peak of the corrugation? Any advice would be most appreciated please.

Having lost a brother to asbestosis I`d say get it removed or repaired by experts.

I think you should use this opportunity to get the asbestos removed by experts
and not cover it up

I know we are all at the age of - I am not doing THIS or I am not spending THAT when a plaster will do
or someone else can do it and PAT !

However, I wouldn't do it that way. I would take other precautions

You need to spread the load. A good way to do that is to lay something under the crawler, on top of the "peaks" in the sheets.
Maybe a couple of sheets of chipboard/plywood.
Even a few scaffold boards laid at right angles to the crawler.

Asbestos cement sheets are quite fragile when "point loads" are applied, but very stable when any load is spread out over a big an area as possible.

Is it the ridge damaged? Something like this? (But in asbestos cement)..........

Thank you to The Builder and yes you're quite right it is like that on Screwfix but asbestos. Again I quite agree with the vulnerability of asbestos (and its dangers) hence me asking the question. On shots from Google and YouTube it shows you people walking round on it!
