I know they get rid of IDs etc for the sole purpose of being displaced , or could this be France’s way of retaliating after the travel fiasco at the weekend? Where do these people go? Are they left to just mingle in the midst of a massive pandemic ?

Its a very sad state of affairs.
If the government stopped ALL benefits and housing for these migrants then I'm pretty sure they'd stop trying to get here, they are sold the story that if they get to the UK then you'll be housed, fed and watered, we cannot take anymore and the risk of them bringing in covid is way up there as well, one things for sure is that they haven't been vaccinated!

Along with the 3000/4000 already arrived this year Bobbisox, they are put in five star hotels up north. £35 per week spending money each and nothing to pay. Even those who have tested positive havebeen allowed to stay. A British person arriving back in the country pays £1900 for the privilege of a lower class hotel.

The claim about luxury hotels is also suspect. Most illegals are in detention centres and barracks. A few, less than a thousand, are put in temporary hotel accommodation for 3-4 weeks while a permanent place is found for them.

Illegals may not be able to claim benefits but they still get a free ride. All of that is paid for by the tax payer.
