Travel Insurance -Missed Departure Exclusions
I've been looking to buy an annual policy and have used the usual comparison sites. However you really have to drill down to the policy details. My main worry (rational or not) is setting for the airport at say 07.00am expecting to arrive at 08.00am but being delayed and missing flight. Some policies will not pay out if the delay is due to a puncture (though they will if the engine goes phutt) or if you are on a single carriageway and an accident in front blocks the road but they will if the same happens on a dual carriageway or motorway. The logic escapes me. Anyway Cedar Insurance doesn't seem to have these exclusions but please let me know of any others.
