In your name. I did not move . I sent no proof. They have had my policy 4 years. Tenant occupied . ON that note it was cancelled. Now i need them water damage and they said I was cancelled because i told them that. But nothing ever changed on my end. I figured nothing would change on their end. Would you have complained then that they hadn't acted on your request? It would have been worth a call back to let them know you hadn't moved after all.
Anyway, to resolve this, it depends on the conversation you had- they may have accepted your telephone request and just asked for something in writing for their records to cover themselves. Have you still been insurance premiums and have they been collecting the money? If so you are probably covered still. If you are no longer paying you should have contacted tehm to clarify things maybe?
