Hi all, today i was sat in my car at our local Sainsburys when a lady reversed into my car(1999 Shogun) the damage is limited to the o/sf bumper end pushed back about 2 inches, what i need to know is once it is repaired by her insurance company will my car be catagorised as a damage/repaired vehicle and subject to the accompanying drop in value? i have only just bought the car for 3000 so surely it will be fixed and not wrote off? or if it will be catagorised can i demand it be wrote off and me payed out for the market value? Best regards Kevin.

no you cant the damage will be repaired and you will be on your way,the only way it will be written off is if the damage makes it uneconomical to repair, and by the sound of it,its only caused a few hundred pounds worth of damage.
