Is there much difference between the cost of group 2 and group 6 insurance? Thinking of changing my car, and don't want a hefty increase in insurance premium.

By and large, no.

But inevitably it will depend on where you live, what the value of the actual car is and what your own insurance claim history is like.

As Dan says, the only way to be sure is get some quotes.
