Stolen car now recovered.

My car was stolen just over a year ago i was paid out by the insurers for £1000 less than we owed on the car (car was on finance). The car has now been recovered and is with the insurance company. The police have made arrests but I am wondering if we can get compensation from the arrested parties to pay for the shortfall as I have a huge overdraft collecting interest from the theft. Thanks

you might get compensation but they will have to pay that £1000 back to your insurance company.the best thing to do is get in touch with the CPS crime prosecution service and tell them or go to CAB the citizens advice or ring a solicitor and ask for advice
