clickjacked on facebook - how do you leave a dodgy page

I was clickjacked on Facebook the other day. This article - courtesy of ABer Netibiza who showed it to me - describes exactly what happened. With one exception: I did NOT click on the 'Click here to continue' link, I just backed off the dodgy page using the back-arrow on top of the screen (in my own toolbar). In spite of that, the damage was already done and the "swedeheart likes this" link was installed to my own profile.

Apparently this attack wasn't malicious, according to the article, but as the next one could well be, I'd like to know how does one best leave a dodgy page? Ctrl+Alt+Del? Or something else? As clicking on the backwards arrow seems to equal a click on the dodgy page.

Hi again ZebUK, yep now we're talking about the same thing;-)) I *am* familiar with that tiny back-down-in-history arrow but what I don't know is if it's any safer than using the back-arrow, cos you see I *didn't* get that pop-up message, I just backed out uneventfully, and yet I was clickjacked.

So: Are you saying the tiny arrow leading to a choice between previous pages is a SAFER way of exiting, or are you saying it's ONE way?

Oh and while I'm badgering you;-) could you find it in your heart to elaborate a bit on those message pop-ups (I know the kind you mean), i.e. what are they, they're not a scam are they? (for me, they appear on the most respectable of websites) and why should I definitely avoid going back via them if I've posted on a website? I've often wondered about them so it would be great if you could explain.

Oh I see, thanks for explaining about the pop ups - and yes you're probably right about the damage having already been done even before I backed out, it was just the way they phrased it in the article that made me wonder if I could have done anything differently. Thanks for all your patience ZebUK - I'll let you off the hook now:)
