Last year I was in a shop looking for a particuar brand of toothpaste. A toddler was running around the shop and ran into the back of me. (I was stationary and had switched the ignition off) He screamed that I'd 'run him over' and mum started to give me a mouthful (And what a mouth... pure filth)and said she'd sue me.
Luckily for me the shopkeeper stepped in andtold the mother that I hadn't been moving and if she wanted to use that lanquage she should leave the shop. But what do you think would of hapened if Ihadn't a witness?
So I pay £40 per year for comfort purposes!

Insurance to cover you for third party is an excellent idea. After all, it's quite possible to cause an accident involving harm to a pedestrian or property when driving one. Injuries and loss consequent on a fall can be expensive in damages, and knocking a pedestrian over could give rise to just such a claim. Seeing the way some users drive them, it's surprising that there are not more!
I've got insurance for my M/scooter mainly because of others. One time I was just poodling along because there were a lot of people about & a woman in front of me stopped abruptly on the spot, not knowing she was going to do this I went into the back of her, no harm really she was surprised but it could have been a lot worse. Eversince then I decided it would be best to be insured.
