Thanks for some helpful advice Mark, I feel by the tone of some of the replies that I am being vilified for being worried about my daughter's situation. Her ex has already crashed into a lamp post in the last week. I dont know if he has contacted his insurance about it, but if he does will it incur problems for my daughter and her insurance costs in future years because her name is associated with him, the car and his insurance. See I just dont know about the full implications of all this, I admit I am not au fait with the ins & outs of car insurance etc as I have never owned a car, all I know is I dont want my daughter being tied or tainted with any future problems he has. If people say there is nothing to worry about then fine, but could he without her knowing put her name as an additional driver next year and without her express permission? He was the one who had to contact the insurance company this year using his email address attaching copies of her driving licence etc to ensure they added her this time. All he would have to do is use those attachments next year to add her again.
