I am going to be insuring my car for one day (my sister as driver) on Friday to take it to MOT, I have been quoted £20 which I was surprised at! Has anyone had any experience with Tempcover and is there anything I should look out for, i.e. extra costs that they slip in without you noticing?

could you not get someone to tow it?

I could do but it will be less of a pain in the butt just to drive it there I think. :-/
£20 isn't bad considering the amount of administration and paperwork involved, even for 1 day's cover.
Think thats about right, I helped a friend of mine insure a van for 1 day and it was about £15, think that was with Norwich Union. I just filled in the details, paid by debit card and printed of the insurance letter, then it was all done and dusted!
When my brother visits from Australia I put him on my policy for a month. I have never paid more than £10-15. Last October I paid £12.00 for his cover. My daughter borrows my car when she goes on holiday as it's bigger than her's and can carry more luggage. That usually costs £10.00 for week. I'm insured with LV.
