Male Clothes Model

I've been fortunate enough to be told that I could be a male model by a few random people as I've been out and about. I'm not so sure myself but am willing to look into it. I'm interested in becoming a clothes model for shops like river island, asos etc.

I know this can be very tricky to do well in and if I fail I fail but I'm going to give it a go. I don't necessarily want a career out of it, just a bit of extra cash.

Any advice on how to get started would be greatly appreciated. I'm 30 years old but have been told I look between 22/25 by most people who don't know me.

Look for a professional agency, who will help you with doing a portfolio. And don't make any big payments up-front.

Sadly, yes. I was told if I cooperated there'd be a place for me in the books of the Ugly Model agency. I didn't realise it was just a ploy.

see if you can get some shots taken - if you haven't much cash start with a cash for photos arrangement where a new photographer gives you pics in return for pics for their folio etc. then send them to agencies.
