I left a very stressfull job after berievement and took on a job that after speaking to the office manager (due to lack of training) she admitted it should have been given to someone internal who had the experience of the co that the role needed.and I eas offered a lesser role with a proposed drop on #4k in salary. I resigned a month ago and was only there for 7 weeks, i have an exemplery 10 year work record, i have been offered a new job but have not declared the 7 week job as my prev employment, this new co are being thorough with references etc and now i am worried sick about this 7 weeks, i did inform the agency i went through that i had worked short term in the last 2 months but they did not ask me about it only my long term jobs, any advice? i desperatley need to pay my bills , mortgage etc.....

If your agency was only interested in long term work and they are who you have gotten the intervie through then its no problem. if your employers mention that they knew you were there short term u can explain about what your agency asked of you. or u can bite the bullet and explain BEFORE they check your references. personally as you have not done anything wrong i would just leave it until your employers have finished checking your references.

try not to worry though! x
