Change in hours of work
4 Answers
I have been in my job for almost four years. When I first started I was contracted to work 16 hours per week. However, 16 months ago my hours increased to 32 hours per week but a new contract was never drawn up. My workplace has since changed hands and I am now told I have to revert back to my original 16 hours.
Is this legal? And where do I stand.

Its a shame because we see employers exploiting loopholes all the time, so next time if your employer agrees verbally to a change like that, make sure you get it in writing.
