My son is due to leave school this year. He wants to take up an apprenticeship in plumbing. I know that Connexions offer good advice, has anyone else any suggestions as to where he should start?

Many thanks in advance

Check out your local colleges and see which ones offer the apprenticeship training. It's what we did ten years ago when our youngest was leaving school and wanted to be a landscaper. The college helped him to find a placement before he started, and he ended up with a Saturday job there several months before term started.
use Google to look up "training providers" in your area ... lots of them will already have apprenticeship vacancy listings that they are looking to fill ...
